ABOUT
Welcome!
I’m Susan, and I’m so glad you’re here.
If you’re ready to:
• Move forward after a deep change,
• Reclaim your independence and confidence,
• Create financial, emotional, and personal freedom,
• And design a life that reflects who you truly are,
You’re in the right place. I’m here to help you rise, rebuild, and reimagine life through courage and strength.
I grew up watching my mother navigate divorce with three young children, struggling financially, and living in an apartment above my uncle’s barbershop. There was not much emotional support for her, no space to process, and no one to help her understand what she was going through.
I watched as she battled debilitating depression and anxiety, which often left me feeling afraid, silent about my feelings, alone, and uncertain in life...and about life. That experience shaped how I learned to handle pain — quietly push it down, pretend it doesn’t exist, and just keep going.
That pattern would lead me to experience many of my own painful relationships, tolerating emotional and even physical abuse because I did not know how to stick up for myself or believe I was worthy of more. Years of suppressed emotion eventually took their toll. Like my mother, I found myself overwhelmed by severe anxiety and panic attacks, a complete lack of self-worth, and constant fear about the future.
This led to agoraphobia — an intense fear of leaving safe spaces and avoidance of situations where escape or help may not be available. In my case, I could not walk outside my front door, drive a car, or eat. I lost 40 pounds in a very short time frame, which added to how ill I felt. I could not work and had to take unpaid leave from my job. I felt like a failure.
Then, one day, I decided...I don’t want this for myself anymore. I was meant for more.
My mother had sent me a 12-cassette tape set from a well-known coach at that time. As I listened, something in me awakened. I began leaning into my fear and into my anxiety. I found my strengths and began trusting myself. I began taking brave steps toward what scared me. That was the beginning of healing. One step at a time, I rebuilt: I went back to school, found a new job where I doubled my salary, and made lifelong friends. Shortly after that, I met my husband. For the first time, I felt like I was finally creating a life that worked.
But even then, something deeper still called for attention — the quiet belief that I wasn’t enough, and the lingering patterns of self-doubt and emotional disconnection. This is when I found The Adult Chair® model, where things began to shift.
The Adult Chair helped me understand my emotional reactions and patterns — not just in the moment, but in the context of my whole life. It gave me language and structure for things I had never understood and showed me where they were rooted. I began to see myself, my family, and my relationships with more understanding, compassion, and clarity.
Instead of being consumed by emotions, I learned to stay present with them. Instead of reacting from old wounds, I learned to stay grounded and curious. And instead of carrying everything alone, I learned how to be supported.
This model has become a foundation for how I live, making choices from self-trust and staying connected to who I am now, rather than who I had to be in the past.
This ongoing transformation is what led me here — to share this work and help others discover the same freedom, peace, and courage I found.
You don’t have to navigate this chapter alone.
Together, we’ll rediscover how to build a life that feels inspired, peaceful, and purpose-filled.
